Mackenzie had a project due where it was a timeline of her life from birth to present time.  She had to use pictures and tell her story.  This picture was in our apartment here in our first year in Arizona.  It was a tiny (but nice) apartment so of course Mitch's  "office"  was right in the living room. He  would be trying to work and Mac would come up from behind and just climb right on his shoulders and  stay there.  She did this a lot.  I love this picture!

This is from the Youth Kick Off party last weekend.  It was fun and here are a few of them posing for a pic.

This was my drive to work one day last week.  Oh my goodness! It took forever! Here in Arizona, the ground is so dry and hard the water has no where to go and it floods everything.

my latest project. Im trying to work on granny squares with hopes of a possible afghan.  We'll see, but for right now it's fun and Im getting better with ever square I do.

Birthday Celebration

Last week the Royals were in town and there was a game Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  These seats were in the "all you can eat" area.  Marcus thinks it's fun to be able to get up by him self and just go get food. 

This was his party on Saturday.  They all got along super and Derek (the one in the red swim trunks) spent the night.

We went and saw Guardians of the Galaxy on his birthday.  It was a good movie!  What a birthday celebration!

Happy Birthday 10 year old!!!

I seriously cannot believe that my boy is 10 today!  Happy Birthday Marcus!  We are going to see Guardians of the Galaxy!

Last week before school

What a busy summer we have had.  It has went so fast and now they are down to their last week.  And of course it is a busy one.  The Kansas City Royals are here for a 3 game series and we have tickets to all 3 nights.  Mitch and Max will go to all for sure.  It's also Marcus's birthday this week.  Plus his party and then next Sunday Mackenzie has a choir concert and ice cream social at church.  Last weekend Mitch was in Dallas so I let the kids have a couple sleepovers and here is a picture of  Mac after I highlighted her hair a little bit. :)

Here is her and her friend Mikenzie.  She spent the night and every time I would say "Mackenzie" they would both answer! :)



I dropped them off at the movies so they could see Fault in our Stars.

Marcus was bringing down his laundry basket to get his clean laundry, Panther was taking a nap in it so he was carrying it like that and of course, jealous Copper had to investigate...you can see panther's paw getting ready to take a swipe at Copper.

Last night we had a MWU dinner that some students were hosting.  It was a roaring 20's theme and wow some of the dresses were amazing as well as their accessories.  So cute and it was a fun time.

Mackenzie was due for an upgrade for her phone.  She got the iPhone 5C.  She has worked super hard to earn it.

Marcus, giant corndog and wrestlers

This is a D-bat dog. This is the new item this year at the Dbacks game.  I can't remember how long it is but it took him his dad and uncle to finish it.  It is a giant hotdog, split down the middle loaded with cheese and jalapenos then wrapped in 4 pieces of bacon then dipped it in batter and deep fried! Holy heart attack!!!  

Marcus and I saw this movie when Mac was in San Diego.  Today's version of ET.  It was cute but doesn't come close to ET if you ask me.  I can still remember mom taking Brooke and I to that movie and I was trying to hide my face because I was  crying.   

These pictures are a little funky because they came from Mitch's phone that he sent to my phone and when I tried to load them on the computer, this is how they came out...but this is Ric Flair.  A wrestler from the 80's.  Mitch took him to a meet and greet type event and Marcus got to ask questions and get his picture taken.  He was super excited and had a great time. While the boys did this Mac and I went back to school shopping for her.

They call this guy Edge...Mac and I thought he was pretty cute.

And this guy is called Goldberg.  He has starred in a few movies too.  A big day to remember for this almost 10 year old!!!

Date night/ Concert

For Mitch's birthday way back in March I got tickets for a Def Leppard and Kiss concert.  Well, it's finally here!  Mitch was finally able to sneak a couple days off (however, first day off he received 35 emails from work before noon)...Max hung out with Marcus and we were finally having a date night!

Check out this couple!  People are crazy!  And I will mention, this was an outdoor venue and its July in Arizona!!!!

Oh my gosh!  Def Leppard was great!  I sang every song!!!!

Kiss was great too!  Wearing all their costumes!  Heres Gene Simmons...these guys are in their 60's now still performing great shows!

It was a fun night! 

4th of July

We had a 4th of July party with friends and neighbors...it was quite the bash!



I really didn't get a lot of pics taken because I was too busy but did manage a few shots of the kids. The girl on Mac's shoulders is our neighbor Madi and the boy with Marcus is Derek.

I added this one because if you look at Marcus close enough you can see him spitting water out of his mouth. Hmmm, wonder if that is intended for his sister.
