Jedi Training Academy

This was a day made for father and sons....they were both excited because we were heading to Hollywood Studios at Disney so Marcus could hopefully get a chance to be selected for the Jedi Training Academy.  They only take 15 kids at a time and only do it for a few hours out of each day.  So you have to get there early to get a ticket.  I love this picture!
                                   He got a ticket!  :)
Here he is just waiting to begin their training session...
He looks like a future Jedi :)
This was awesome!  The Darth Vader music started and smoke was everywhere and then he came out...the kids were in awe!
                                                    This is Darth Maul....
They learned a series of moves so the fight was routine...
                              He had a great time!
Mac and I did some shopping during Marcus' training before he actually went on stage.....

More Disney

This is at a Japanese restaurant...the kids really enjoyed watching the chef cook.

Of course he would want his picture next to this guy :)
                                 a fun boat ride........
The Tiki room is full of musical birds that sing..Mitch said this has always been one of his favorites at Disney.
We were getting ready to go on The Pirates of the Carribean ride.

More of Disney

Just getting to our hotel room.
Here's a shot of the alligators....
                                                          DISNEYWORLD!!!!!
These characters behind him are Phineas and Ferb...they are on a cartoon that he LOVES to watch....

This is Marcus's $10 turkey leg he just HAD to have....he was sure he could eat the whole thing.....that was until.....
he took his first bite....he wasn't so sure.  He did manage to down 4 or 5 bites before he handed it off to  his dad.
This trip was made possible because Mitch always has a conference somewhere every year in July.  So we meet up with a lot of families.  They were excited to see each other..
Gee Mitch, what nice braids you have! :)

Vacation to Disneyworld

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful The Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando (5 minutes from Disneyworld) was.  The pictures I am posting today are just of the atruim in the resort (all inside!) and 1 pool photo....I will post more this weekend once I get pictures organized.  We had a great vacation and can't believe it's over...they have alligators, Koi fish and turtles all swimming around in mini rivers running through the resort!

These are Corie's girls right in front...we just got to the pool, then they had to close due to lightning...that happened everyday that we went to the pool.
Mac is holding Brett's hand...she was a great helper!
Beautiful!!!!!!   I want this in my yard!
Guess I should add my kids to some of these photos :)
                                      How interesting is this tree???
I think there were at least 5 different waterfalls in the hotel.
This is a steak house that we were sure was expensive....all the restaurants were very expensive...paying for the upkeep of their indoor rainforest Im sure....

I will post the alligators later as well as Disnyeworld...Marcus was selected for the Jedi Training Academy and got to duel Darth Maul with a lightsaber!

This is my new fridge.  The middle drawer is really nice!  It's supposed to be used for the items you get the most..i.e beer, capri suns, beer, fruit and maybe a cold beer :)
I LOVE ice coffee!  This is the Pioneer Woman's recipe...
