Cheer competition

Today was the cheer competition for the Deer Valley School District. Our Terramar cheerleaders got 3rd place beating out some fantastic schools. Pretty awesome considering they didn't even get started until halfway through the season! I'm so proud of them!!!

Band Concert and pie

Marcus had his first band concert.  Waiting for their turn to perform.

He even had a little part where it was only him playing.  Each child got a chance to do that.

Look at this price!!!! ....and yes, I paid it because I wanted a Dutch Rhubarb pie that bad!!!

Can I tell you it was soooo good!!!!

Gift card shopping.

Mackenzie got a Barnes and Noble gift card from the Bird family and so she finally spent it.  She got a book and a journal.  She got Flowers in the Attic and Petals in the Wind.  Flowers in the attic was the first series of books I ever read.

Marcus spent his gift card to Hobby Lobby from Papa and Grandma Katy.  New brushes and a couple paint markers and a canvas and he still has money left.  He always likes to leave a little left on a gift card so he can go back again. :)

I rescued this plant last week and another one that looks just like it.  Someone moved out of a house near ours and they were sitting on the edge of the driveway with a sign that said "take me"....so of course, I took them.  I gave one to my girlfriend Heather.  I love a good find!!!

A visit from family

My cousin came for a quick visit from Alaska before heading up to the Grand Canyon for a 2 week work training trip.  It went fast but we stayed busy and  got to catch up a lot.  We went hiking and then went to the Botanical Gardens...the weather was great!

I just felt like taking a picture of Annie taking a picture. :)

It was so good to see her!!
