Snail Vine update and buttermilk biscuits

                      My vine is out of control now...I believe a family of gecko's is living in there.

      But it's so pretty I hate to cut it.

 We are getting ready to head to the graduation banquet for Midwestern University.

 Im making homemade buttermilk biscuits using Gram's utensil's...so you know they are going to come out great knowing I have Grma's magic touch!

    And...Im using my favorite cookbook The Pioneer Woman" I got from Brooke.

 We got Mac her school shoes early because she just HAD TO HAVE a pair of Van's shoes

And every single time I go upstairs...Snuggles is waiting by the bathroom door hoping someone will let her drink from the tub....

Swimming, Vacation Bible School and Father's Day

 Summer is so busy.  Im such a creature of habit and summer time is anything but routine!  We finally got the pool up and running last Sunday...the kids could'nt even wait for it to fill up.  It's a good thing we got it up...it hit 113 today!  Hot, hot hot!!!!

                                      

 Mackenzie wanted to bake something and the cake Grandma Katy made for her birthday last year when we were back is her favorite!!  Jello Poke cake..we used strawberry jello...it's a great summer time cake!

 Vacation Bible school was a great time and kids enjoyed it.  This was Mackenzie's last year...i can't believe it!

 The kids were getting ready to sing songs when I took these pictures.

     Dad deserved a lunch out at his favorite place...The Hurricane!  Happy Father's Day!!

 Homemade Kettle chips with Bleu Cheese, Jalapeno cheese dip...super yummy!

 The kids picked the loaded fries....what a nice healthy snack :)

.....and of course, a nice cold beer with a twist of lime! 

Castles and Coasters

 We have been planning our trip to San Antonio this summer where we will be going to Sea World and Six Flags...so Mitch thought we needed a "warm-up" to prepare for amusement park fun....so we went to Castles and Coasters.

Snail Vine and Donuts

 I LOVE snail vine....it grows fast and is so pretty.  I love the over grown look.

 The bloom is very pretty!!!

 Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything...with the kids out of school now my time is more limited....

 We still have the stray...Smokey hasn't left..and of course, Mac is getting attached.

 Today we made donuts out of Grand biscuits...the recipe I used was a little vague...it said fry in oil until brown...

 The donut holes browned in about 20 seconds!  Leaving the center doughy...so I had to turn the heat down and wait

 Much better...but then the kids wanted to frost them...

I looked at them when they finished...I said "what an ugly color"...we are calling them Shrek donuts!  They were pretty tasty I might add.  :)
